Heliopan polarization filters are extremely useful filters in photography and a must-have for all photographers.

With the help of these filters you can eliminate unwanted reflections on shiny surfaces, such as glass or water surfaces. In other words: water surfaces become transparent. Colors become more saturated and vibrant, e.g. the green of grass and leaves appears much stronger and the sky appears bluer and darker.

The polarizer must be set before each exposure in order to achieve the desired effect. The setting is made by turning the front ring of the filter on the lens and at the same time observing the image through the viewfinder. That lets you directly assess how the current setting of the filter will affect the picture. Heliopan polarization filters are supplied with a rotatable holder with a number wreath so that the desired position and effect can be easily set for each type of camera.

The normal polarization filter has a light loss of 1-1.5 stops. A high-transmission polarizer only has a light loss of approx. 0.5 stop.

All Heliopan polarizing filter types are available as normal version (incl. front thread) and as slim version!
