The use of gradient filters (GND) and neutral density filters (ND), which are inserted into the filter holder, allows you to adapt to any lighting scenario and recapture your unique sense of image that cannot be achieved through post-processing of raw files. Filter systems also offer many other benefits—they are compatible with various types of lenses, including ultra-wide angle lenses. Additionally, they provide more combinations than screw-on filters and can be quickly swapped out, providing more flexibility and dynamism in adjusting to changing lighting conditions, such as those encountered during sunrise or sunset photography. With gradient filters (GND), you can precisely adjust the horizon line by shifting it either up or down since it is often not centered in many scenes. In contrast, circular filters always have a fixed central horizon line that cannot be moved.
