This Polarizer has a compact slim filter socket without front thread, which allows with a height of only 5.3 mm vignetting-free receptacles with extreme wide-angle lenses (about 18-20 mm full format).
Why a Polarizer Filter?
Natural light spreads straightforward in waveform in all directions. Pure sunlight is polarized and has a high color unit. When penetrating the atmosphere, part of it is scattered, which is superimposed as a blue-gray haze all colors. This proportion can often be dimmed with polar filters. If light also falls in the flat angle of about 35 degrees to a reflective surface, e.g. Water, glass, plastics, colors (with the exception of metallic surfaces), the light is reflected and polarized.
