Heliopan Aluminium Lens Hood | large
The Heliopan Lens Hood is made of black anodized aluminum with one thread on the back and front of the aperture. This scattering light diagram is especially reckoned for lightweight wide-angle and normal objectives. These are objective with a (large image equivalent) focal length of 85 mm and more.

The primary function of a lens hood is to block light from getting to camera lenses from the sides. When to Use a Lens Hood

Hoods are also necessary when using off-camera flash in the studio. Flash units placed to the side may introduce unwanted glare. Shooting at night also requires protecting camera lenses from harsh, stark light coming from cars, buildings, and street lamps.
