B+W BASIC Line
The basic line filters are characterized by a newly designed rotary ring with optimized design for better grip, which facilitates the alignment of pole filters. The filter frame is made of sturdy brass and is provided with a special functional paint for smooth unscrewing and unscrewing. All circular pole filters from the new filter line are equipped with the proven MRC coating with 16x coating and thus enable contrasting and color neutral recordings. The use of polarization filters reduces disturbing reflexes while increasing color saturation in the image. In addition, the front lens remains spared the use of the filters of dirt, such as dust, sand, fingerprints or scratches. Due to the newly designed rotary ring with optimized design for better grip, the alignment of pole filters is facilitated.
With the introduction of the Basic Filterline, the packaging of plastic boxes is changed to sustainable cotton bags with practical drawstring.
For what do you still need CPL filter today?
Similar to a ND filter, it reduces the light passage, but at the same time increases the (color) contrasts of large areas (sky, sea, etc.). Without a circular pole filter, their photos would not really differentiate themselves from the way they perceive the motives with their own eye. Through a circular pole filter pictures are more intense, clearer and qualitatively a lot of high quality. The filtering of reflections and reflections can not afford digital image processing. Therefore, circular pole filters are still used today - primarily in DSLR photography with SLR cameras, but also with the DSLMS - the system cameras - the polarization filters still find application. Especially the whopping blue of the sky and the mitters of reflections can not be reworked by Photoshop & Co.. For professional DSLR / and DSLM photography, Polfilters are therefore definitely useful.
