The orange filter swallows blue almost completely and a bit green. This contrast filter with particular highlighting of the cloud effects and significant reduction in the atmospheric haze for remote recordings is particularly suitable for recordings with telephoto lenses. For portrait and stock photos, this filter equips irregular skin, wires and blemishes. Best results are achieved with green lips.

The high-quality Heliopan Neutral Density Filter are made in Munich, offer first-class optical properties and a high-quality manufacturing quality. For the production of Heliopan ND Filters, SCHOTT glasses are used. The SCHOTT Filter glasses ensure perfect sharpness and thanks to spectrally balanced damping neutral color reproduction. The Filter glass is fully sanded and smoothly polished.
Heliopan SLIM Filter
The Filter fittings are made precisely from brass. Brass is dimensionally stable and robust. The brass capture causes no quality-reducing mechanical stresses in the Filter glass because of its very low thermal expansion even with strong temperature fluctuations. Further, the risk of jamming in the Filter thread of the lens is minimized. The black coating of the brass capture prevents possible influences by reflections on the socket. Thanks to a Filter height of 4 mm, the Filter can also be used on wide-angle lenses without causing vignets. For a camera with full-former sensor, the smallest possible focal length is approx. 24 mm, with a camera with APS-C sensor, it is about 18 mm. All Heliopan Slim brass captures have a front thread in the same size of the screw-in detection (of the Filter diameter), so that another Filter, a lens hood or other accessories can be screwed. Heliopan SH-PMC Multicoating
The reflection on glass / air surfaces is making a major cause of loss of contrast in objectives, the most demanding in the extreme Photography impossible. Therefore, lens manufacturers operate an enormous effort for the remuneration of their lenses. This quality chain should not break it by using a filter with inferior compensation. With new proprietary systems and technologies Heliopan filters are provided with a much improved remuneration. The existing on each side of each of seven layers broadband coating reduces not only the reflectance in the visible light range to near zero percent, it is also water- and dirt-repellent. This makes it considerably more resistant to injury and easier to clean than previous MC filter or a front lens.
